Johor DT owner Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim has confirmed the signing of ex-SC Beira Mar midfielder Nazmi Faiz from local rivals Selangor
In a lengthy and critical press statement about Malaysian football, the Crown Prince of Johor revealed that JDT has signed the young talent, and that they are planning to loan him to Japan.
Nazmi is product of Selangor’s Sports Project School, and has paved his way into Harimau Muda B, and then Harimau Muda A in 2012.
This will not be his first time overseas, the 22-year old has played for S.C Beira-Mar on a 3-year contract shortly after that. He terminated his contract with the Portuguese club after some financial scuffle.
Nazmi returned to his home country and joined PKNS FC under the Malaysian Super League. He was then stolen by Selangor FA because of his impressive performance and midfield prowess.
JDT has not decided which club in Japan will be be playing in, but he will trained and groomed there. When he returns to the country, he will be ready to play for JDT.
Apart from that TMJ also noted they have a young goalkeeper from PDRM, and a few young players like Afiq Fazail and Che Rashid under observation.
