Probably the most spectacular thing in Myanmar! Every single website out there asserts that the Shwedagon Pagoda is the one place you cannot leave out of your itinerary when in Yangon. It is also a very important religious site in Yangon. Standing tall at 99 meters, this beautiful piece of architecture can be seen throughout the city.

Since it’s covered in gold, jewels, and diamonds, the structure sparkles at night! Best to visit in the evening.

Entrance fee: 8000 MMK (about RM 27). Modest wear required.

The memorial cemetery is also a must-visit when in Yangon. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and well-maintained.

The ground holds the memories of brave World War 2 soldiers who have given their lives to protect the country. It’s a bit out of the way, but absolutely worth the time and effort to get here.

It’s the perfect place if you love history and reminiscing on war heroes.

Myoma is widely regarded as the most happening place in Naypyidaw! It is happening, lively, busy, and extremely crowded.

The market is located at the Zabu Thiri Township, and probably the only place that’s alive at night.
