It’s official, half-English half-Malaysian defender Daniel Ting is travelling south to be a part of the Southern Tigers.
Daniel Ting confirmed that he has join the JDT II Premier League squad after he rose to prominence with Negeri Sembilan last season. In fact, Daniel received multiple offers from other Super League clubs, but he decided to go with JDT II to be under the supervision of Tunku Mahkota Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim.
The young defender believes that JDT II is the best place for him to grow and unleash his potential as a versatile defender.
“I’m happy to be a part of the biggest club in Malaysia, and possibly even Southeast Asia.” Daniel said in a statement on JDT’s official website.
“TMJ heavily influenced my decision to join JDT II, a lot of people look up to him. JDT has its own qualities; they also have all the facilities, the professionalism and the achievements.”
“After discussing with JDT II head coach Benjamin Mora and JDT’s Sports Director Alistair Edwards, it became clear to me that JDT was the best club for me.” the 23-year old said.
Good luck, Daniel Ting!
