Wenger’s decision to let Serge Gnabry leave during the summer didn’t please too many Arsenal fans, especially after his starring performances for the German U-21 squad at the Olympic Games in Rio.
Gnabry went on to sign for Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga and immediately slipped into the driving seat with them. Over the weekend, they got absolutely hammered by Borussia Monchengladbach, though Gnabry did manage to steal a consolation goal – one that will leave you in a complete state of awe.
As Martin Tyler once said: “What a hit, son!”
