Mercedes have reportedly placed a sports psychiatrist on standby for Lewis Hamilton, in case he loses his title bid going into the final race at Abu Dhabi.
The British ace currently has 10 wins to his name, compared to his teammate Nico Rosberg’s five, but could still lose the title for the new double points rule introduced this year.
Bosses are said to be worried that Hamilton, who had earlier rejected using a sports psychologist, could be severely affected by the blow should he lose the race.
The Mercedes duo go head to head in the season-ending race with qualifying on Saturday, and the main race on Sunday.
