Malaysia Cup champion, Selangor might have to lose another of their player to Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), after the emergence of Nazmi Faiz as a likely candidate in joining the Southern Tigers.
After the successful acquisition of talented right-back, Azrif Nasrulhaq at the end of the July transfer window, the AFC Cup winner are baring their fangs again in an attempt to sign the 22-year-old midfielder next season.
According to Berita Harian, Nazmi has signed a pre-agreement contract with JDT to secure his place in the team, and he won’t be renewing his contract with the Red Giants at the end of the season.
“The situation involving both players are different as Azrif was tied to a contract with Selangor and JDT have to go through the proper procedures to acquire his service.
“On the other hand, Nazmi might not be renewing his contact.
“So he’ll be free to join any club and the pre-agreement signed by him will allow the proposed transfer to happen at the right time,” said the source, as quoted by Berita Harian.
If Nazmi does make the move to down south, then he’ll be the eighth Selangor player to join the Southern Tigers after Amri Yahyah, Safiq Rahim, Mahali Jasuli, Farizal Marlias, Asrarudin Putra Omar, S. Kunanlan and Azrif Nasrulhaq.
