Council president, Tunku Imran Tuanku Ja’afar said the list was finalized after national female sprinter, Zaidatul Husniah Zulkifli occupied the last qualifying spot via a wildcard ticket issued by OCM.
“I think all of the athletes are well-prepared, in fact most of them have trained overseas. I hope they can get the best achievement,” he said in a press conference yesterday.
The 32-athlete list includes three in archery, two in athletics, eight badminton players, and two track cyclists. There is also six divers, two each in sailing and swimming, four golfers and one each in shooting, marathon swimming and weightlifting.
