Johor Darul Ta’azim owner Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ismail has publicly slammed Hadin Azman over comments on his decision to reject a move to the Southern Tigers.
Hadin, who was controversially sacked from JDT in 2014, appeared to have reinstated himself on the Southern Tigers’ radar over the past few weeks. Even the man himself told us that he was looking at the possibility of returning to the reigning MSL champions.
However, the transfer saga was dealt with a plot twist yesterday, as Hadin publicly declared his intentions to remain with Felda United. His exact words were: “Irfan and FELDA saved my career, you can’t buy that with money.”
His statement seems to have irked Tunku Ismail, who issued a response through Johor Southern Tigers’ Facebook page.
“Today a player call Hadin made a statement sharing his thoughts with the media and the public instead of keeping things private. This is a small issue. Issues such as this are supposed to be handled by our secretary and sports director,” Tunku Ismail said.
“When you talk about integrity, you first of all clearly want to get support from the Malaysian public to show that you are a player that can’t be tempted by money. But your action speaks louder than words when you stole your own team mate’s money because you had a dept problem due to gambling in a snooker outlet in Holiday Plaza, Johor Bahru. I spoke to Asra and we decided to retract the police report and settle it outside to save your career as a footballer Mr Hadin,” he added.
TMJ, as he is fondly known, went on to claim that he still has video evidence of Hadin committing the act, before urging the 22 year-old to ‘check his history’ before publicly speaking about integrity in football.
“But for your information, I still have the video of you doing your mischievous ‘James Bond’ activities. So when you speak about integrity and self value, make sure you check your history first. That goes to all hypocrite people in every profession,” he concluded.
