The knock out stages of Euro 2016 have seen nothing like the lack of early goals we endured in the Group phase. The first 36 games of the competition produced only FIVE goals in the opening 15 minutes (two of those scored by Wales) but already in the Round of Sixteen and first of the quarter finals, five games have seen SIX goals registered in the opening quarter of an hour.
Add to that the confidence in attack the Belgians bring into this game from their four goal win against Hungary and there is every reason to suspect we will see goals before half-time in Lille.
Wales will threaten from every set piece in and around the box with Gareth Bale on the field and Marc Wilmots forced into a defensive re-shuffle with Thomas Vermaelen suspended and Jan Vertonghen injured, while the Belgian’s arguably have more natural goal scorers at their disposal than any other side left in field. The Over 2 Goals in 90 minutes line is tempting but I am with the prospect of a single goal in the first stanza providing a profit.
#BestBets – Wales vs Belgium = OVER 0.75 GOALS IN FIRST HALF
