The Three Lions suffered arguably their most embarrassing and disastrous exit from a major tournament on Tuesday morning, after losing 2-1 to minnows Iceland in the last 16 of Euro 2016.
Iceland came from behind to record the historic win, despite English skipper Wayne Rooney giving the favourites an early lead. Lars Lagerback’s Vikings will now face host nation France in the quarter-finals, hoping to pull off another shocker to continue their fairy tale run.
Former Manchester United great Rio Ferdinand was on duty in the BBC studio, and he posted a video watching the humiliating defeat alongside his fellow countrymen and pundits Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Jermaine Jenas. It was an interesting sight to see what goes in a punditry studio during a live match, but England fans won’t be watching this footage anytime soon.
Watch the video below and skip to 3:10 for the start of the game. With that said, it might be worthwhile to check out Ferdinand’s pre-match thoughts as well.
