Slovakia have two wins in their last four meetings with the Germans but crucially those two victories were in International friendlies (one less than a month ago), while on the two other occasions, the nations met in Euro qualifying and Joachim Low’s side triumphed when it really mattered.
If Slovakia approach this game in the same manner as their goal-less draw with England last time out it is difficult to see them lasting another 90 minutes without conceding against a more clinical opposition and conversely, if they decide to be more adventurous, they should be comfortably picked off.
Like France, Germany have flattered to deceive at times during the opening exchanges in Euro 2016 but they are past masters at peaking during the knock out stages of major tournaments.
