The footballing world was served with some touchline entertainment during the 2014 World Cup finals, when Joachim Low’s questionable antics was recorded on live television.
Fast forward 2 years later, it is a case of déjà vu after the Germany coach is seen scratching his balls and then smelling his fingers during their Euro 2016 opening game against Ukraine.
Speaking to the press earlier today, the World Cup winning manager apologised for his disgusting behaviour on the bench. He blamed his touchline antics on ‘adrenaline’ and insisted on trying to prevent such behaviour in the future.
Galatasaray forward Lukas Podolski even added his amusing opinion to the discussion by saying it’s normal and 80% of people do the same.
Germany face Poland in Paris on early Friday morning (local time) and will hope to build on their opening game victory without being distracted by the negative spotlight on their manager. Low’s apology can be seen below:
