FC Bari 1908 owner Datuk Dr. Noordin Ahmad has explained that one of the reasons he invested in the Italian Serie B club was to offer young Malaysians the chance to play abroad.
The businessman hopes he can help the youth by working together with Kelantan FA (KAFA).
“I chose FC Bari instead of a Serie A team because I believe this club can provide the avenue for youngsters to gain valuable experience,” Noordin said as quoted by Utusan Malaysia.
“I felt certain with my decision because the FC Bari fans welcomed my arrival and made me feel a part of the family. We may even send three Kelantan players for a trial. Who knows?
“I want a bright future for the players. They might even play in the top leagues in Europe.
This was the first time that Noordin Ahmad spoke to the media after buying FC Bari 1908 and he was joined by FC Bari president Gianluca Paparesta, his lawyer Grace Iannarelli and KAFA president Tan Sri Annuar Musa, whom he studied with at the Royal Military College.
“I want a friendly between Kelantan and FC Bari,” Tan Sri Annuar Musa commented as well.
FC Bari will organize a number of friendlies, mainly against Malaysia in Italy and over here.
