The Kedah Football Association (KFA) will announce the deal with D’Herbs Healthy Sdn Bhd after the company agreed to sponsor The Red Hawks squad for RM30 million in three years.
Company founder Datuk Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman confirmed that his party have agreed with a number of conditions and are currently waiting for the word from the state government.
“We have agreed to give RM10 million each year for development to improve the quality of football and want to produce great young players,” Aliff said as quoted by Astro Awani.
“The sponsorship is a huge boost for Kedah. I will continue sponsoring them after the contract expires if they perform well this season,” he concluded at the Darul Aman Stadium.
The amount was specifically requested by the state government of Kedah.
Aliff Syukri announced his intention to make Kedah his first sponsored team early last month, but had to go through a series of discussions before finally coming to an agreement with KFA.
