The Terengganu Football Association (PBSNT) is currently planning to combine both Terengganu and Terengganu FC (T-Team FC) to form one team for the upcoming season.
The government is currently losing its patience with both teams as they have been constantly producing poor results in the past few years, despite having stable finances.
“I am extremely disappointed with the performance of Terengganu and T-Team over the past few seasons. I feel that this has been my worst time in history of the club,” Youth, Sports and Human Resource committee chairman Datuk Rozi Mamat said as quoted by Utusan.
The Terengganu government have been in talks to form one team because it saves cost.
“We need to find the best team because Terengganu and T-Team FC are not good enough, so we will only form one strong team for the upcoming season. This will allow us to save cost because we spent roughly about RM30 million on both teams,” Rozi Mamat concluded.
