The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia, Datuk Abdul Samad Othman, has confirmed that Datuk Dr. Noordin Ahmad will be visiting the Malaysian Embassy to meet him as well as put an end to the question of the individual purchasing 50% shares of FC Bari.
The Malaysian Embassy in Rome received knowledge of Noordin Ahmad’s interest in Bari after Grazia Innarelli, Noordin’s friend and lawyer, arranged a visit and a meeting at the club.
“During the conversation on the phone, the lawyer (Grazia) did not even set a date or time but said the meeting would be within the week,” Abdul Samad said as quoted by Utusan.
“Datuk Noordin’s name has been spoken of a lot in Italy and in Malaysia too. However, as long as I have not met him, it would be hard to assess his situation,” he concluded.
The businessman who is involved in oil, diamonds and fashion, visited the Stadio San Nicola last week to watch the Serie B match between FC Bari 1908 and Como. The home side, with the nickname of The Cockerels, won the match 3-0 and the win took them to third place.
