Perak will experience a ‘life-or-death’ situation when they travel to face PKNS FC in the first leg of the semi-final of the Superbest Power FA Cup at the Hang Jebat Stadium later tonight.
On the contrary, team manager Datuk Shahrul Zaman Yahya believes that his young team is capable of achieving a number of things, especially after Vokhid Shodiev and Elias Fernandes de Oliviera have ended their goal drought in the Malaysia Super League (MSL) recently.
“Although we lost to Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) and Pahang, there is a light at the end of the tunnel because we have started scoring,” the team manager said as quoted by Berita Harian.
“Vokhid and Elias are getting their rhythm back. The both of them played a part in scoring against The Southern Tigers and The Elephants, so we have to look at the positives from this.
However, there are concerns in the defensive department after The Bos Gaurus conceded two goals against Mario Gomez’s JDT and four goals against Razip Ismail’s Pahang.
“We have been focusing on improving on defending during trainings,” Shahrul concluded.
