The Football Association of Penang’s (FAP) team bus that was carrying players and officials after the Malaysia Super League (MSL) match at the Darul Aman Stadium on Saturday was badly damaged after rocks were thrown at it by a group of angry Kedah supporters.
This was in the light of Penang’s valiant comeback after Darwira Sazan scored in the late stages of the game to secure a 2-2 draw against the 2015 Premier League (MPL) winners.
The police are currently performing an investigation to find the individuals that were involved.
Manzoor Azwira, who replaced Jacksen Tiago as head coach after the defeat to Sarawak, earned a point to take Penang within a win from the top six as they face Selangor next week. Kedah moved to fourth place but dropped to fifth after the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) defeated Terengganu 3-1 to move to third in the MSL, ahead of Selangor on goal difference.
