Maria Sharapova and her boyfriend, Grigor Dimitrov, have confirmed their participation for the XXII edition of the 2015 Mexican Tennis Open, which kicks off in Acapulco from February 23rd – 28th.
This will mark Dimitrov’s second trip there after winning the men’s field against Kevin Anderson earlier this year, while it’ll be Sharapova’s first time playing at the Mexican resort town.
Kei Nishikori, David Ferrer and Juan Martin del Potro are among the top players who have also confirmed their inclusion in the tournament.
The 2015 Mexican Tennis Open will feature hard courts for the second time, after the change was introduced for the first time this year. The total prize money for the female series will consist of USD$37,000, along with 280 points towards their WTA ranking.
