Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) striker Jorge Pereyra Diaz has been voted as PFAM-Asiana.my’s Player of the Month for the month of March 2016, after scoring six goals in all competitions.
The Argentinian striker returned to Malaysia this season after a loan spell with Independiente in 2015 and has proved to be successful in every aspect of his game. He knows how to trouble defenders, link up plays with his teammates and ultimately, score goals.
He scored two valuable goals in the Malaysia Super League (MSL) against FELDA United and PDRM and four goals in the Superbest Power FA Cup against Negeri Sembilan and PDRM.
The La-Rioja-born man is an integral part of Mario Gomez’s plans for the rest of the season as he intends to retain the MSL and AFC Cup as well as win the FA Cup and Malaysia Cup.
The other candidates for the prestigious award were Perak’s Mohd Hafizul Hakim, Kedah’s Farhan Abu Bakar, Selangor’s R. Gopinathan and Terengganu’s Issey Nakajima-Farran.
