The 21 car owners who watched the Malaysia Super League (MSL) match between the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) last night left the Hang Jebat Stadium in Malacca with a feeling of sadness after their cars were destroyed by a lorry.
There were reports saying that the incident happened when the MSL match was ongoing.
A few minutes after kick-off, there were still a number of parking spots inside the stadium. However, many fans chose to park outside the stadium which caused three layers of parking. The triple-parking caused narrow roads which led to the lorry driver going through the cars.
The police are currently performing an investigation to find the lorry driver to close the case.
Mario Gomez’s men went to win the match 2-0 courtesy of goals from team captain Safiq Rahim from the spot and on-form striker Jorge Pereyra Diaz. The Southern Tigers’ win means that they now sit at the summit of the MSL with 13 points, a point ahead of FELDA United.
