Memphis Depay, or Memphis as he rather prefers, has failed to live up to his £25 million price tag in his maiden season at Old Trafford, but his impressive performance in Manchester United’s 5-1 win over Danish champions FC Midtjylland got a number of fans buzzing with excitement earlier today.
He was bright throughout the entire 90 minutes, having played a hand in Manchester United’s equalizer, after his cross was deflected off Nikolay ‘Batman’ Bodurov.
He also was involved in the build up to the Red Devil’s first penalty of the match. He maneuvered a smart dummy to allow Ander Herrera the ball before the Spaniard was brought down at the edge of the penalty box. However, Juan Mata failed to make the most out of it after his penalty was easily saved by Midtjylland goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen.
The Dutch international also got on the scoresheet after a deserved goal from 20 yards out.
Here’s a few highlights from his outstanding performance:

Will he be able to reproduce this form when Arsenal comes to town on Sunday?
