Nicol David is through to the semi-finals of the Tournament of Champions after an intense five-set battle against Egypt’s Omneya Abdel Kawy.
The world number three started brilliantly by winning the first set 11-6, but Omneya bounced back in the following two sets to claim a 2-1 lead – winning both sets 12-10.
Nicol though, mustered every ounce of energy in her to produce a stunning performance in the fourth set, claiming it 11-3. She then went on to carry that momentum into the decider, before securing a 11-5 win to book her spot in the semis of the competition.
