Absolutely incredible!
Linel Messi clinched his FIFTH Ballon d’Or title, ending Cristiano Ronaldo’s two-year winning streak, in a gala ceremony that was hosted in Zurich last night.
The Argentinian forward was in scintillating form throughout 2015, scoring 52 goals in 61 games as the Catalans went on to claim their 23rd Spanish title, the Spanish Cup, Champions League, Super Cup as well as the World Club Cup.
While he was arguably part of an incredible trio at Barcelona, featuring Neymar as well as Luis Suarez, Messi was visibly the standout performer as he consistently produced moments of brilliance to inspire the Blaugranas.
He received a whopping 41.33% of the vote, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo (27.76%) as well as Neymar (7.86%).
