V. Sundramoorthy is rumoured to be on the verge of accepting an offer to be Kelantan FA’s head coach, next year.
According to Sinar Harian, a source revealed that Sundramoorthy has received the offer and is reportedly keen on the role as well. Several other coaches were on Kelantan’s radar, though Sundramoorthy’s achievement with LionsXII in 2013, ultimately compelled them to table the offer.
“I can confirm that Sundramoorthy is 99% set to coach Kelantan next season. He was the first choice, ahead of Sathianathan, K. Devan and Jose Peseiro.
“He has already spoken to the KAFA management and is verbally agreed to coach the Red Warriors. It won’t be an issue for him, considering he previously played for us in 1994 and is already used to the rigours of Malaysian football.
“Now, it’s all up to him. If he’s satisfied with the offer, he will be coming to Kelantan very soon,” the source added.
Sundramoorthy led LionsXII to the Super League title in 2013, before taking charge of NS Matrix in 2014 and Tampines Rovers in 2015.
