National Moto2 rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah was satisfied to end the Malaysian Grand Prix race at eight place yesterday, stating that it is far better than falling off and losing points.
Although an eight place finish is not an ideal expectation, the PETRONAS Raceline Malaysia racer said he is content with his achievements during the race and hope the fans are happy as well.
“My initial aim is to reach the top five, which I worked hard for, although I do realize my limits.”
“It was a better decision for me to maintain my position instead of trying to hard and losing points, which will only disappoint my fans.”
“For me, it was a good race, and I would like to thank my team, sponsors and fans who have been supporting me,” he told Berita Harian.
Things did not end too well for nation’s other Moto2 racer Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman, who finished at 16th place after an early accident held him back.
