Malaysian Moto3 rider, Zulfahmi Khairuddin is still unsure about his future with speculations linking him with an exit from the competition.
This is shortly after the Chief Executive Officer of Sepang International Circuit (SIC), Datuk Razlan Razali confirmed that Zulfahmi will not sign a new contract with his current team, Drive M7 SIC Racing, for the new season.
Zulfahmi said he is likely to leave MotoGP but is still in talks with the management regarding his future in the sport.
“I will most probably not join Moto3 next year. That’s all I can say at the moment. I’m still discussing with the management and this year might be my final year.
“I’m thinking of joining other tournament and I’ll announce it in the near future,” he told Utusan Malaysia yesterday.
Zulfahmi made history in MotoGP as he became the first Malaysian rider to secure pole in Sepang back in October 2012 and recorded his best ever achievement in the same year, as he finished in seventh place with 128 points.
