Terengganu striker Norshahrul Idlan Talaha has been suspended for five matches following his rough actions towards an opposition in a Malaysia Cup match recently.
According to FAM, Norshahrul was found guilty of stomping on an opposing player’s leg with intention, during Terengganu’s Malaysia cup tie against Kedah at the Darul Aman Stadium on 18 September.
The 29 year-old also received his marching orders in that game, and was automatically suspended in their upcoming match against LionsXII on 26 September.
Besides the suspension, the national striker, more known as Mat Yo, will be forced to pay a fine of RM 2,500 as well.
The five-match ban will mean that Terengganu will be without their talisman for the rest of their Malaysia Cup campaign, starting with Kedah tomorrow, Johor Darul Ta’zim II (27 Oct) and LionsXII (31 Oct).
