Kedah FA team manager Datuk Jeffry Low said that he is relieved to see the dispute between South Korean midfielder Bang Seung Hwan and head coach Tan Cheng Hoe being resolved.
Seung Hwan had a minor misunderstanding with Cheng Hoe after their Malaysia Cup match against JDT last month, and has skipped all training sessions since then.
However, Datuk Jeffry himself personally spoke to Seung Hwan and adviced him to resolve the matter amicably and the South Korean has now returned to first team training.
“I feel relieved because Bang Seung Hwan listened to me and now he is back with us, I’m totally relieved.
“I met him and asked him to reconsider his act because as a professional footballer he has a responsibility towards his team and he needs to forget his personal issues for the sake of the team.
“This is the time for all players to focus on their upcoming game against Terengganu on Saturday – a must-win game is we want to qualify for the next round,” he told Harian Metro.
He also added that Bang has agreed to apologize to Cheng Hoe for the sake of the team spirit as they prepare to go against the odds in the Malaysia Cup this year.
