Kelantan coach Zahasmi Ismail assured everyone that his players will be able to perform well in the remaining two matches in order to progress to the quarter finals of 2015 Malaysia Cup.
The Red Warriors currently occupy last place in Group C with 4 points, but are still in the run to make it through as only three points differentiates them from leaders Selangor.
And after watching his team’s positive performance in the friendly against Terengganu last night, Zahasmi is looking forward to his side facing FELDA United next.
“Even though we were missing few key players, I’m satisfied with the strategy, determination and teamwork showed by the players picked.”
“I request they show the same spirit against FELDA United this coming Saturday,” he said, as quoted by Berita Harian.
It has not been a promising campaign for Zahasmi’s side, with under the par performances, which was only worsen by the issue of players not getting their salaries.
Their final two matches in group stages will be against FELDA United and T-Team.
WHAT DO WE THINK?
It’s now or never for Kelantan. They started well by beating Selangor in their opening match but failed to keep the momentum going. The Terengganu friendly match was exactly what they needed to gain back the confidence they lost. And if Zahasmi’s boys can finally recapture their best form, they have a bright chance of beating FELDA United and getting revenge on T-Team, to whom they lost away.
