Just a week ago, it seemed like Man United were in dreamland, sitting on top of the table after a comfortable win over Sunderland. And in midweek, they carried that form into the Champions League by sealing a comfortable 3-1 win over Wolfsburg.
But the Red Devils were brought back to earth tonight as they suffered an embarassing 0-3 defeat at the hands of Arsenal. The home side went 3-0 ahead in the first half, courtesy of a blitzkrieg performance in the first 20 minutes of the match, and despite several tactical shifts from Louis van Gaal, Man United were unable to muster a comeback.
While the entire team was largely disappointing on the pitch, one particular player stood out, in the form of their captain, Wayne Rooney. And we hope he stays off Twitter for the next 24 hours.
@WayneRooney Please hand in another transfer request and leave.

How long are England and Man Utd going to persist with Wayne Rooney. He's getting carried. He's been awful for 18 months now. #MUFC
