It always gets frustrating when we speak about players like Hatem Ben Arfa. When he’s on form, the French midfielder is unplayable. He has everything it takes to be a fine midfielder, with the exception of a ‘professional mentality’.
That’s precisely why he’s always floundered on the biggest stage, particularly for Olympique Marseille as well as Newcastle United.
But last night, he dropped a timely reminder of why he was once rated as Europe’s brightest talent, by scoring a stunning solo goal during Nice’s Ligue 1 tie against St Etienne.
