Selangor and Terengganu have been handed a tricky draw for the upcoming Malaysia Cup.
The ceremony took place at the PJ Hilton Hotel earlier today, and Terengganu were drawn into Group A, alongside recently-crowned Premier League champions, Kedah, LionsXII as well as JDT II.
Meanwhile, Selangor were placed in Group C, alongside Felda United, Kelantan and T-Team. This undoubtedly comes across as the customary ‘Group of Death’ for this particular edition of the tournament, considering that all four sides have the ability to turn on the style, when they get into their strides.
On the other hand, reigning Malaysia Cup champions Pahang were handed a favourable draw, when they were slotted into Group C. Accompanying them will be PDRM, Penang FA as well as PKNS FC.
JDT were perhaps give the most comfortable draw, as they were put into Group B with three other sides that showed consistent struggles in the Super League this year; Perak FA, Sarawak FA as well as ATM FA.
