National diver Tze Liang is determined to work on his mental strength as he prepares to take on the biggest challenge in his career next year – The Rio Olympics.
The 21 year-old made a big splash at the SEA Games in June, where he claimed four gold medals comfortably – which earned him a handsome reward of RM50,000 from the government.
But as of now, he’s already switching his focus to what would be a fantastic opportunity to potentially claim Malaysia’s first ever Olympic gold medal.
“My weakness right now is my mental strength. I will certainly have to work on that, to produce better dives with higher quality,” he told Harian Metro.
The 21 year-old made history in 2014, when he became the first Malaysian male to win a Commonwealth gold medal in diving.
