“What a time to be alive.”
Premier League sides have been going insane in the transfer market this season. Bournemouth have moved exceptionally well with their new signings, West Bromwich Albion secured Salomon Rondon from Zenit St. Petersburg, Swansea City brought Andre Ayew from Marseille on a Bosman transfer while more recently, Stoke City announced the capture of Xherdan Shaqiri from Inter Milan!
There was a time, when some of these players were being actively courted by the ‘Big Four’ – only because they were the only ones who could essentially afford them. But tides are shifting and the new Premier League TV deal has increased cashflow within every other Premier League side as well.
Today, Aston Villa, who’ve already brought in nine players this summer, including Jordan Ayew, hit the jackpot again. Adama Traore, who has been the subject of interest from various clubs across Europe, joined the Villains on a five-year contract!
Twitter, inevitably, went berserk.

Villa sign Adama Traore. He's going to be seriously tricky to handle this season. Especially on the counter! This new TV money is paying off

But the Royal Flush was undoubtedly this tweet. Talk about getting on with the program!
Surely if this Adama Traore was any good he'd have gone to Stoke, not Villa?
