CEV Moto2 Championship: Ramdan hoping for top ten finish

There are only six rounds left for national racer Mohd Ramdan Rosli to fulfil his wish, as he aims to be among the top ten drivers in the Spanish CEV Moto2 Championship by the end of the season.

The 19-year-old stated that the “impossible mission” can be achieved, based on his performances which made him a competitor with elite racers across Europe.

“This is my first season racing with Moto2 team. So there have not been any high hopes by the team as well because being in the top ten positions is considered tough enough.”

“My experience in Moto2 is very little, but I’m improving. I even came close to making a podium finish!”

“In these remaining six rounds, if I manage to get a 5th or 6th place finish, the possibility of ending the race among the best ten spots will be quite high,” the Klang born rider told Berita Harian.

In spite of being labelled as a rookie in the Moto2 races, Ramdan doesn’t rule out his chances of taking part in the World Championships next year.

“If I can better myself this year, it will surely be practical for me to join the Moto2 World Championships. Having said that, the decision does depend on the team and management.”

Round 4 of the CEV race is scheduled on 9th September in the Albacete track, Spain.
