Malaysian Youth and Sports minister Khairy Jamaluddin took a jibe at Liverpool fans within the country after equating them to PAS supporters.
Khairy, who has identified himself as a Man United fan over the years, is part of Barisan Nasional, which is the ruling coalition in Malaysia. The opposition coalition is made up of three major parties, with the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) being one of them.
While he’s consistently engaged in banters with Liverpool fans, considering that the club is Man United’s arch rival, his decision to draw a political comparison was perhaps uncalled for, though you can’t help but crack into a laughter, at his sense of humour.
