Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng should advised to stay away from social media for the next few days, after his disastrous performance against Barcelona last night.
The German center-back was a gullible victim of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez’s attacking prowess, as the trio ran rampant around him to score three goals and seize an impeccable first leg lead.
But the most embarrassing moment came during the process in which Messi scored the second goal. The Argentine’s quick feet left Boateng helpless as he fell onto the ground, allowing Messi to continue his run and put Barca 2-0 ahead.
Immediately after the match, Twitter exploded with reactions, and believe it or not, it hasn’t stopped.
Here’s a collection of the best tweets!
Jamie Redknapp on Lionel Messi: "It is an honour to watch him play. What he did to Jérôme Boateng on that second goal was almost illegal."
