The announcement of his signing was greeted by roars of excitement throughout various social media sites, and when Patito Rodriguez made his official Johor DT debut against ATM last weekend, it was not hard to see why fans were uber excited with his acquisition.
The ex-Santos player dazzled on the pitch with his movement, using a fine combination of movement, pace and trickery to work his way down the left flank. Within 10 minutes of the game, it was easy to recognize Patito as the type of player who would be able to get fans out of their seats in the stadium.
But the Argentinean forward produced his best moment on the 56th minute, where he collected the ball in his half, went on a sprint down the left flank, before evading a defender with a cheeky chip on the ball. He proceeded to cut into the middle, before threading a pass for Safiq Rahim, who finished in style to make the score 2-1. And that goal, ended up being the winning goal as well!
