Jamie Braganca may have not made his official debut for Terengganu FA, but fans are already unhappy with what he has to offer for the team; claiming that his contract should be terminated soon.
The Turtles have been monitoring the Timor Leste international for a reasonable amount of time, and head coach Abdul Rahman Ibrahim was reportedly happy with his performances during a trial stint last month. They then went on to confirm his signing recently, announcing his arrival as Hassan Chaito’s replacement.
But fans got a glimpse of his ability when Terengganu took on Kuantan FA in a friendly match recently, and they were certainly not impressed as the Turtles fell to a 3-2 defeat.
“If that is how he [Jamie Braganca] plays and performs, then we might as well depend on our own local players,” Wan Mohd Azmi, Secretary of the PETEH fan club told Harian Metro.
“I don’t wish to meddle in affairs that are related to the coaching staff but based on his performance against Kuantan FA, Jamie Braganca is definitely a poor signing
“From our perspective at PETEH, we don’t want a repeat of Javier Estupinan and Moustapha Dabo, foreign players who joined us over the last few years, but ended up warming the bench on most occasions.”
“If the FA insist on keeping him, then it’s up to them. But don’t regret when reality hits,” he added.
