Newly named Formula One team, Manor Marussia have just announced former Caterham reserve driver Roberto Merhi as their second driver for the 2015 season.
The team, that recently came out of administration, causing them to miss the last three races of the 2014 season, confirmed their participation few days back after modifying their 2014 vehicle.
Having already announced former Caterham driver Will Stevens as their main driver, the team has now officially confirmed Merhi as their second driver and both individuals will be racing together at the upcoming Australian GP.
“It is fantastic to welcome Roberto and Jordan to the team,” said principal John Booth during an announcement.
“Not only are they very talented young drivers with exciting futures ahead of them, they have also been ‘graduates’ of Manor Motorsport in the junior formula, which is obviously very rewarding for us.”
Meanwhile, Manor’s 2014 modified car is yet to be exposed publicly though speculations has it that it will be replaced by a new 2015 model during the European rounds.
