PKNS FC have announced the capture of a new foreign player in the form of Argentinian forward Diego Diellos.
The ex-Sportivo Belgrano player has been signed to replace Patrick Wleh, who completed his move to Selangor at the end of last year.
Diellos’s acquisition is being questioned, considering that he’s merely 22 years-old, with very little experience of competing outside his country. But as far as PKNS FC manager Mahfizul Rusydin Abd Rashid is concerned, there’s nothing to be worried about.
“Diellos just joined the team, and he certainly has the characteristics we’re looking for. We’re hoping that he’ll be able to adapt with his other teammates. But as of now, Elavarasan is happy with his performances,” he told Harian Metro.
“We want to do well in the Premier League and hopefully be able to earn promotion into the Super League in 2017. Also, the shift in format for the FA Cup as well as the Malaysia Cup means that competition will be a lot tougher,” he added.
