After missing out on the gold medal in the 110-meter hurdles final in Tokyo three years prior, Grant Holloway triumphed in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Despite losing to Hansle Parchment of Jamaica at the postponed 2020 Olympics, Holloway went to France with three gold medals from World Championships.
In the final on Thursday at the Stade de France, he shot out of the starting blocks and won the title in 12.99 seconds at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
With a timing of 13.09, fellow American Daniel Roberts won silver, and Jamaican Rasheed Broadbell took home the bronze.
After his victory, Holloway ran to the bell and said, “I’ve made it. I completed it. I’m the Olympic champion.
In addition to his victories at the World Championships in 2019, 2022, and 2023, the 26-year-old had already won gold at the World Indoor Championships and the Diamond League.
