Bayern set to appoint Vincent Kompany as new head coach

It looks like Vincent Kompany will soon take over as head coach of Bayern Munich.

A sum of about £10.2 million has been agreed upon by the two teams.

Max Eberl and Christoph Freund, the sporting directors of Bayern Munich, are interested in the Belgian, whose contract at Turf Moor expires in the summer of 2028.

Bayern has been unsuccessful in its attempts to replace Thomas Tuchel thus far, as head coach of Bayer Leverkusen, Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann, and coach of Austria Ralf Rangnick have all turned down the position.

It is anticipated that Kompany will sign a three-year deal.
