Roma’s legend Francesco Totti bade farewell to football two days ago, and an air of melancholy surrounded football fans all over the world.
One of the greatest footballers to ever grace the pitch, Totti’s career with Roma spanned over 25 years before he decided it was time for him to leave.
He delivered an emotional speech at the end of his last match for Roma at the Stadio Olympic, and the legend reduced almost all 60,000 fans to tears.
“Unfortunately the time has come. I’ve cried every day,” Totti said after the match. “It’s a decision I made with my wife and my family. I would stay here another 25 years. Thank you Roma.”
Let’s look back at some of his greatest goals from over the years.
