Penang FA sprung a surprise on their fans as they announced the signing of Mark Hartmann on their official Facebook page.
The news came as a surprise as there were no rumours linking the former Sarawak striker with the Panthers prior to this.
Mark Hartmann would definitely pack more punch to Penang’s forward line, alongside their two other striking force, Nigel Dabinyaba and Sanna Nyasi.
In fact, the English-born Filipino has already started training with the squad, and could very well start against Johor Darul Ta’zim on the 1st of July when the Super League resumes.
Needless to say, the Penang fans — who have been unhappy for the most part of the season due to the Panther’s dismal performance — are thrilled to learn about this new signing:
Penang are currently submerged at the bottom of the Super League table, with only 6 points after 13 matches played. The Panthers have only won one out of their last five matches.
And it looks like they’re determined to turn things around before the second half of the season kicks off!
