Melaka United have just announced the signing of Macedonian defender Jasmin Mecinovic.
The 26 year-old central defender joins the The Mousedeer on a one-year deal from FK Pelister in the Macedonian First League and will feature in the second half of the season.
Jasmin Mecinovic was introduced as a Melaka United during the press conference at the Hang Jebat Stadium and was presented by team manager Mohammad Yusoff Hj. Mahadi.
The Macedonian was in awe of his new team after watching them feature in the Malaysia Super League (MSL) against Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) about two weeks ago.
“I decided to join the club last week,” Jasmin Mecinovic said as quoted by Berita Harian.
“I signed the contract last night after the head coach of the team was impressed with me.
Jasmin Mecinovic has represented the Macedonia U-21 team 13 times.
