The second half of the Malaysia Super League (MSL) season will kick off this Saturday, 1st July with some exciting fixtures in place.
Reigning Super League champions Johor Darul Ta’zim will be hosting Penang FA at the Stadium Tan Sri Dato’ Hj Hassan Yunos this Saturday.
In their previous meeting, Johor Darul Ta’zim defeated Penang 2-1 at the Stadium Batu Kawan.
This second meeting will be more exciting to watch, since both teams have signed new players during the transfer window to bolster their squad.
Johor Darul Ta’zim’s signing of MSL’s top scorer Mohammad Ghaddar from Kelantan, and Ignacio Insa from Levante will inevitably strengthen their attacking force.
Penang, currently placed at the bottom of the league, has acquired seven new players to turn things around; including Sanna Nyasi from the US, and Mark Hartmann from Sarawak, and Brandon McDonald from Guam.
Let’s look back at how both teams did at their previous meeting.
