Life as a professional barber can be pretty exciting and most barbers we’ve spoken to vouch for it. To them, it’s about the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and express the creative side of their minds via their hair-cutting techniques and skills.
But while that may be completely true, a group of Singaporean barbers experienced excitement on a complete different paradigm over the weekend. And all of it began from an unexpected message at 12.13am.
The Argentinian national team arrrived in Singapore on Saturday, ahead of their international friendly clash against V. Sundramoorthy’s Lions at the National Stadium on Tuesday night. And as revealed on their Facebook page, the talented folks of The Golden Rule Barber Co received an Instagram message from Juventus and Argentinian football star, Paulo Dybala during the wee hours of Sunday morning.
Things accelerated pretty quickly after that and next thing you know, three of their best barbers were dispatched to the Fullerton Hotel to work their magic on a number of Argentine players, including the likes of Angel Di Maria, Sergio Romero and even Paulo Dybala, who initiated the whole thing!
According to the same Facebook post, Argentina FA’s management officers were incredibly strict from the get-go and they weren’t allowed to bring cameras and their phones into the hotel. But the players were apparently happy with their work and gave the green light to several photos!
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Jorge Sampaoli will be looking to test an ultra-attacking formation when they take to the field against Singapore on Tuesday night.
Multiple reports in Europe and Singapore claim that Sampaoli will only start two defenders against the Lions, giving space to a unique 2-3-4-1 formation with Atletico Madrid’s Angel Correa spearheading their attack.
