Annuar Musa proposes solution to settle unpaid wages issue

Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) advisor Tan Sri Annuar Musa has proposed a solution on settling the issue of unpaid wages of players that have yet to receive their salaries.

The ex-KAFA president said that the main sponsors of The Red Warriors (TRW) have come together to discuss a plan of action that will benefit both sets of parties at the end of the day.

“We are working to help KAFA settle the unpaid salaries from 2015 and 2016. A big portion of the unpaid amount is not salary related, but it consists of compensation or early settlement due to termination of contracts,” Annuar Musa said as quoted by Stadium Astro.

“KAFA do not have the money to pay the full amount and those who are involved must wait.

“However, we may have found a way to solve the problem (without prejudice) and that is to give us a 50% discount on unpaid salaries. We will be able to pay in cash within 30 days after those who are affected give us consent in black and white. We will appoint a law firm to handle this issue.

Annuar Musa added that this idea was suggested to fasten the process of clearing their debts. Nevertheless, if the players (who have yet to receive their salaries) disagree with this condition, they are required to wait a little longer before KAFA have the means of paying.
